Winter Worth Protecting: Films and panel about the future of outdoor recreation in a changing climate

Join us this winter break for two Protect Our Winters (POW) film screenings and a discussion on how warming winters are affecting outdoor recreation in the region. We will be screening Purple Mountains, Live Free or Die (31 mins) and Mountain Guides: Barometers of Change (7 mins) on Friday, February 20th, at 6:00pm. To follow, we will be joined by a panel of filmmakers and outdoor recreation professionals for a discussion on how our changing winters are affecting us in western Maine. This event intends to bring together snow lovers to consider what challenges we are facing and what collectively we can do. Raffle prizes including ski passes and outdoor swag will follow the films and discussion!
