BAAM & Bethel Library Reading and Craft @ The Gem

Coming on November 19

Midnight weekend screenings happen on Friday & Saturday nights (meaning arrive on Friday and/or Saturday night by 11:45pm for seating, the movie starts after midnight)!

Run Time: 90 min.

Please join BAAM and Bethel Library’s Kelcy Boles for a morning reading and craft at The Gem on Saturday, 11/19, from 10:00am to 11:30am. We will share a reading of the children’s book “Keepunumuk, Weeâchumun’s Thanksgiving Story” which tells the tale of the harvest feast shared by the newcomers and the Wampanoag people in 1621. Since the story is told from the perspective of Weeâchumun (corn), we will follow the reading with a corn husk doll making activity and a Three Sisters craft.
This activity will be best for elementary aged students, but really any age is welcome. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children for this activity.
The activity is FREE, but pre-registration is required. Please sign up by Thursday, 11/17, at 5pm. We will be limiting the class to 15 children, but will keep a waitlist. We look forward to having you join us! Register here:  https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLScM5uSigV7Vwa…/viewform
