Join us in welcoming the Cottage Street Creative Exchange for a night of dance, both live and on film, featuring dancers from Maine and Brazil on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:30 pm. 

An evening of dance, film, and videodança featuring Margóth Lima, filmmaker André Rosa, CDTAM of Natal, Brazil via film, and dancers from Art Moves, Casco Bay Movers, Cosmic Creation, and Expansion Arts.

Margóth Lima, a dancer with the Alberto Maranhão Theater Dance Company (CDTAM) and professor of its school, will be living in Norway, Maine for ten days and visiting Art Moves Dance Studio, Casco Bay Movers, Expansion Arts, The Gem Theater, McLaughlin Garden, and Moore Park, to name a few.

André Rosa, award-winning filmmaker and dancer with CDTAM, will show several Videodanças but will not visit in person due to immigration restrictions.

There is a deep and affectionate bond among the artists, collaborators, and sponsors of Cottage Street Creative Exchange(CSCE). Dancers and musicians, families, and friends from Maine and Northeastern Brazil have shared moves and meals together over the past ten years of weeks-long exchanges. Gathering to learn from one another in concentrated time frames fosters everlasting intimacy and powerful new art.
