The Maine People’s Alliance’s Bethel chapter is hosting a special film screening and fundraiser.

The Work in Progress is a searching portrait of America at a moment of profound uncertainty, and a hopeful exploration of what we owe one another as our country faces unprecedented challenges. Inspired by Robert Reich’s curiosity and humanity, it is a testament to the power of listening, civic engagement, and the belief that our shared future is still ours to shape. The film begins with Prof. Reich asking: “What do we owe each other?” What follows is a journey to find out. Watch the Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAguXxc7VsU

A portion of the ticket sales, matched 1:1 by a small group of local donors, will be donated to Project Relief. Project Relief is a Black immigrant-led mutual aid and racial justice collective based in Maine, working every day to protect families, fight deportations, and provide food, shelter, and legal support when systems fail. To help the team plan, it would be helpful to have you RSVP
