Beginning May 24th, Governor Janet Mills has lifted the mask wearing & social distancing mandates for fully vaccinated people in the state, except in schools and daycares, and has also removed seating limits for indoor and outdoor venues. She has requested that all people who are unvaccinated continue to wear masks and social distance until the time that they can be vaccinated.
The Gem would like to provide the safest venue possible for ALL of our patrons to enjoy the show, including children under the age of 12 who still can’t be vaccinated. We are committed to keeping this group safe when they visit and we ask that you follow these guidelines when you visit The Gem. If you haven’t already been vaccinated, please do so, it’s our ticket to a safe summer.
5/24/21: Updated COVID Health and Safety Guidelines for patrons visiting The Gem:
- If you have a fever or cough, please stay home.
- Until there is no risk of a child getting sick at The Gem, we are requiring all patrons and employees, vaccinated and unvaccinated, to wear face masks at all times once they enter the building.
- The face covering can be removed while the individual eats and drinks, but then should be put back on.
- We like social distancing, this is Maine after all. Please give people (including our staff at the counter) a little extra room.
